Website design & development for an antiques online store
The Brief
Streett Marburg is an antique business that specialises in selling fine antiques and modern vintage furniture, both online and at antique fairs. They were in need of an online shop and website that really showcased the beauty and quality of their high-end pieces.
They wanted to rebrand with a fresh clean simplified design that really made their antique pieces the star of the show. They were also looking for a reliable, secure e-commerce solution with a user-friendly CMS, that they could manage on a day to day basis. Ease of selling to a global marketplace and customisation of their online store to allow shipping to international customers on a quote by quote basis was also an important consideration for them.
The Result
The site is built on Shopify, one of the best platforms for e-commerce websites, it has a very user-friendly CMS which the client loved. I focused the homepage design on large slideshow images of their most beautiful pieces which can be easily changed by them as new stock comes in. I also incorporated a new arrivals section prominently on the homepage as their pieces change frequently. I customised the shipping profiles to allow international buyers to purchase with additional information about shipping quotes to their locations and included a photo gallery style press page to showcase their most prominent press exposure. I continue to work with Streett carrying out his social media marketing, Google advertising, SEO and email marketing on a monthly basis.
